Diffuse me, Miss?

Diffuse me? I'm a candle girl. You know the Bath and Body Works 3 wick, scan my phone for coupons kind of candles.

Candles look so nice and the flicker of the flame creates a soothing environment. However; I recently bought a diffuser on Amazon due to some random apartment tour videos on Youtube. So many people have ranted about having one in their house.

The one I got was about $28. I got the one that was among "Amazon's Choice" products which means it's high rated and well-priced.

The one cool thing about this diffuser is the LED light that slowly changes color to relaxing hues. It creates a spa-like space instantly. The light setting can be turned on or off. You can set it to run for 1, 3, or 6 hours or until it's out of the water and essential oil. It runs for approximately 10 hours before auto shut-down. It can create a scent filled room but the scent doesn't drift into the next room.

I sent a photo of this diffuser to a few close friends. Some called it a humidifier. One person called it a lamp (lol). A common misconception is calling this a humidifier. Diffusers and humidifiers have two different purposes.

A humidifier adds moisture in the air. Commonly used for people that are congested and suffering from a cold. It can assist in breathing in humidity and soothe the respiratory system. A diffuser distributes scented vapors in the air for aromatherapy. This can uplift a mood and relieve stress. Technically, you can have one that does both. However, if the device doesn't specify; it's a one trick pony.

Here's the top 3 reasons I like diffusers:

1. Scents waft through a room just as well as a 3 wick sized candle but a safer option with the auto shut-down.
2. Cheaper than candles. Insert Bath and Body Works coupons. (Literally.)
3. it creates a nice aesthetic with the mist which is just as relaxing as the scent it emits.

I still love candles but a diffuser is a current favorite. Why choose when you can have both?
